Boudoir in the Great Outdoors of Reading, MA
While my cozy studio will always have my heart, there’s something truly magical about taking your boudoir session outside. I’ve been doing outdoor boudoir for years, and every time I shoot one, I’m reminded just how special it is. There’s nothing quite like soft sunlight filtering through the trees, fresh air, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature—it all adds such a natural, free-spirited energy to your images.
Many of my clients who choose an outdoor session love to start in the studio first. We’ll begin with classic lingerie looks on the bed set, then layer up or change into dresses, slips, or cozy pieces for the outdoor portion. It’s such a fun way to get variety in your gallery—sexy and intimate indoors, soft and dreamy outdoors.
One of my favorite spots for outdoor boudoir is the Reading Town Forest. I’ve been going there for years, and it never disappoints. You get everything—tall trees, beautiful natural light, and even a few unexpected surprises. We’ve stumbled upon rustic huts and other unique backdrops that make for the most creative and one-of-a-kind photos.
For Miss L’s session, we kept things simple but stylish. She brought one black slip, and with a sheer top and cozy cardigan layered on top, we created multiple looks without any major outfit changes. Dressing smart for the win.
