I had the most incredible experience with Katherine at her studio! From the moment I walked in, she immediately made me feel welcomed, confident, comfortable, and excited. Her jubilant, enthusiastic, and creative natures are contagious! She maintains the utmost professionalism coupled with a bright sense of humor. I left Katherine’s studio feeling more confident, empowered, and beautiful than ever. I highly recommend her!

Katherine saved my boudoir day! I had a day set up with another photographer who canceled my shoot and was not very responsive… I called Katherine on a Thursday, by Monday I was in her studio (this was near the end of November, with my wedding date fast approaching). Katherine made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I was so incredibly nervous to do this shoot because I thought for sure I would be so awkward. I've been staring at Katherine's work for months and everything happens for a reason! You will not be disappointed if you work with Katherine.

Katherine was amazing!! I spent a lot of time researching boudoir photographers in the Boston area and am so happy I found Katherine. I went into this experience thinking I was going to feel awkward and wouldn’t know how to pose for the camera but she doesn’t let you feel like that for one second! She makes you feel comfortable the second you walk into her studio and acts out all the poses before you get into them so you know exactly what to do! Her wardrobe/closet selection is AMAZING (and much bigger than expected) - it saves so much stress/ money to be able to borrow her beautiful items for the shoot. I absolutely love the way my photos came out! If you’re looking for a boudoir photographer I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Katherine- it was the best experience and I’m so happy I did it.

Boudoir Photography FAQ | Boston & Reading MA Boudoir Photographer

  • Boudoir photography is a style of portrait photography that celebrates confidence, beauty, and self-expression. Sessions typically feature lingerie, robes, cozy sweaters, or implied nude looks in a comfortable studio setting. As a boudoir photographer serving the Boston area, my goal is to create elegant, empowering images that help clients feel confident and beautiful..

  • My private boudoir photography studio is located just outside Boston in Reading, Massachusetts. The studio is designed to feel comfortable, stylish, and completely private so clients can relax and enjoy their experience.

  • Not at all! Most of my clients have never been professionally photographed before. I guide you through every pose and expression step-by-step so you always know what to do. My job as your boudoir photographer is to help you feel confident and look amazing in every image.

  • Clients typically bring 3–4 outfits such as lingerie sets, bodysuits, oversized sweaters, robes, or a partner’s button-down shirt. Many clients also include meaningful pieces like bridal lingerie or wedding veils. I love talking about outfit ideas before your session!.

  • Yes! Professional hair and makeup services are available and highly recommended for boudoir sessions. Our experienced artists create a camera-ready look that enhances your natural beauty and helps you feel confident throughout your shoot.

  • Not at all! While bridal boudoir is very popular as a wedding gift, many clients book sessions for birthdays, anniversaries, self-love milestones, or simply to celebrate themselves.

  • Your privacy is extremely important. I only share images with explicit written permission from my clients. This form is signed after you see the images at the viewing session. Nothing would ever be done with images before that! Many clients choose to keep their photos completely private, and that choice is always respected.

  • After your session, you'll return to the studio for a private image reveal and ordering appointment. This is when you'll view your photos for the first time and choose your favorites for albums, prints, or digital collections. Typically scheduled 2-3 weeks after the photo session.

  • Yes! Custom boudoir albums are one of the most popular products. Each album is professionally designed and handcrafted with luxurious cover options like leather, linen, suede, or metal photo covers. Albums start with 20 images and can be expanded to include as many favorites as you’d like.

  • If you're planning to give your photos as a gift (especially for weddings or anniversaries), it’s best to book your session 6–8 weeks in advance to allow time for editing and album design.

  • Clients often say their boudoir session was one of the most empowering experiences they’ve ever had. It’s about more than photos — it’s about confidence, celebrating yourself, and creating beautiful keepsakes you’ll treasure for years.

  • Absolutely! Almost every client tells me they feel nervous before their session. That’s completely normal, especially if it’s your first time doing something like this. My job as your boudoir photographer is to guide you through every pose and create a relaxed, supportive environment so you feel comfortable and confident.

  • Not at all! Boudoir photography can be as modest or as bold as you want it to be. Many clients choose lingerie, oversized sweaters, robes, or a partner’s shirt. Others prefer implied nude images where nothing intimate is shown. Your comfort level always comes first.

  • This is one of the most common concerns I hear. Boudoir photography is not about having a “perfect” body — it’s about celebrating yourself exactly as you are. With professional posing, lighting, and guidance, I create flattering images that highlight your best features and help you see yourself in a whole new way.

  • You don’t need to know how to pose! I demonstrate every pose and guide you step-by-step throughout your session. Most clients start their shoot saying they feel awkward and end it saying they had so much fun.

  • Absolutely! Boudoir is for every age. Many clients actually book sessions during milestone birthdays or life transitions. Confidence and experience often make boudoir images even more powerful.

  • Yes! Professional posing and lighting make a huge difference. I guide you into poses that highlight curves, create beautiful lines, and flatter your body type. Small adjustments can completely transform how a photo looks.

  • Not at all. Many clients book a boudoir session because they want to feel more confident. By the end of the experience, most people walk away feeling empowered and proud of themselves.

  • That’s totally okay! Some of the best moments happen when clients relax and laugh during their session. Boudoir doesn’t have to feel overly serious — it can be playful, fun, and empowering.

Now’s the time.

You don’t have to feel ready — you just have to show up. I’ll take care of the rest. Let’s create something beautiful together.
