Behind the Scenes Magic at My Boston Boudoir Studio

One of my favorite things about working in my Reading natural light boudoir studio is that the magic doesn’t just happen in the final images—it happens in all the moments in between.

Behind the scenes is where the laughter lives. It’s where ideas are tossed around, poses are adjusted, and everyone relaxes into the experience. And when my friend Kayla comes in to collaborate on a shoot, that energy is taken to a whole new level.

Not only is it incredibly fun to see another photographer’s take on a moment, but Kayla also captures the best behind-the-scenes images. I truly believe there’s nothing more fun than seeing a glimpse of how the magic is made. These photos show the sets from a little farther back, the light spilling through the studio, and all the movement that goes into creating a single frame.

What I love most is how much joy and connection comes through in these behind-the-scenes shots. The smiles on our faces say everything—this is fun, collaborative, creative work, and it’s meant to be enjoyed. You can almost feel the laughter when you look at them.

These moments are such a beautiful reminder that boudoir isn’t just about the final image. It’s about the experience, the comfort, the creativity, and the joy shared along the way. And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
