A Soft & Romantic Maternity Boudoir Session
Maternity boudoir sessions hold such a special place in my heart. Pregnancy is such a fleeting season—one filled with anticipation, change, and so much love—and I get genuinely excited every time a client books one of these sessions.
For this shoot, my client brought one outfit from her own closet and then paired it with pieces from my studio wardrobe. We made sure everything felt true to her vision: light, romantic, and elegant. Her bra set was from Anthropologie, and I absolutely loved the delicate lace detailing along the bottom of the bra—it photographed beautifully and added such a soft, feminine touch to the images.
One of the things I hear most often from maternity clients is, “I didn’t do this for my other children, and I’ve always regretted it… so I’m here now.” That sentiment is exactly why these sessions matter so much. This chapter goes by quickly, and documenting it in a way that feels beautiful and empowering is such a gift to yourself.
I always recommend scheduling maternity sessions around 30–33 weeks. It’s a wonderful window where your bump is beautifully round, but you still feel comfortable moving, posing, and enjoying being in front of the camera.
From this session, we’re creating a gorgeous album—something my client will be able to look back on for years to come. I already know it will be so special when she someday shares it with her little boy, showing him just how loved he was even before he arrived.
Maternity sessions are truly unforgettable, and I’m so grateful to help preserve this once-in-a-lifetime season for my clients
