My Trip to Lingerie Fashion Week NY

Last weekend was so much fun! My friend, Allie, and I attended Lingerie Fashion Week in New York. We saw four runway shows and one presentation.

I saw a favorite brand (You! Lingerie – from my maternity/nursing days) and discovered many new lines. So much Boudoir inspiration!!! I took a few photos and videos on my phone so I could share some favorite looks.

Here are some photos from the event (plus me and Allie!), a little more about each line and a video I put together from the shows! I’ll be sharing a more in depth look at the lines and some favorite looks in the next few weeks. So check back!

Lola Haze
Designer Laura Mehlinger has been studying, designing and making clothing since the time she could hold a needle. On a year-long solo trip around the world she collected exotic objects, fabrics, and stories. She finds difference and quirkiness-visual and otherwise-inspiring and is driven in her designing by the idea of surprise.

The Giving Bride
Started in 2012, The Giving Bride creates timeless lingerie for the discerning bride. Their classic styles are made from luxury fabrics and high end finishes and are embellished with French lace and Swarovski crystals. Their lingerie is made in America and a portion of every purchase goes to women’s charities.

You! Lingerie
The idea of You! Lingerie was born when its founder, Uyo Okebie-Eichelberger searched endlessly for affordable beautiful nursing lingerie as a first time mom…But her options were either boring, purely functional and bland maternity products or exorbitantly priced semi-exotic products. So she decided to do something about it.

Love Cage
Love Cage NYC is the upcoming ready to wear line from influential designer Stephanie Paterek. Stephanie debuted her gritty early punk inspired NYC Sex Trash line in 2009 and it quickly stirred up interest. Stephanie’s pieces have been worn by the likes of Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Beyoncé as well as featured in a variety of magazines: Vogue, Rolling Stone, INKED, and more.

Play Out Underwear
Abby Sugar and Sylvie Lardeux started Play Out Apparel, LLC in the summer of 2011 in New York City. It’s underwear for women that breaks the stereotype – not too pink, not too girly. Just cool, comfortable, sexy and fun – like you!
