What to Wear: Robes

For this post on what to wear to your session I want to cover robes. Many soon to be Bride’s have selected a special robe to wear while getting ready the morning of the wedding and it’s fun to include that in your Boudoir shoot as well. Why not get more use out of it?! Other clients like to start with a look that includes a robe to help get warmed up and comfortable in front of the camera. Whatever the reason – they are beautiful!

Going with a lacy look can be beautiful with natural light peeking through. (You’ll see this below in my studio samples.) It’s fun to play around with the length and fabric type for different looks. Here are some examples from Free People I just love, the black lace one is by For Love and Lemons and you’ll see it in peach in my samples below.

Tara, my neighbor/stylist/makeup + hair artist/friend, designs and sells beautiful robes in her shop. We set out to show just how amazing robes are in a styled shoot. Here are a few photos from the shoot – see more here!
